Genius scan iPhone application

One of our staff members recently came across this Apple application which acts as a portable scanning facility  It can be downloaded for FREE from the app store on your iphone.

The idea is you can use an image in your photo library/take a new picture then turn it into a quality image of a document you may want to send yourself or others by email.  This can be useful if

• you are out and about and need to send yourself a PDF/JPEG document to your home email address to view later.
• you are out and you would like to send a copy of a file to someone else.
• you don't have a scanner.

To use the app (after downloading of course!):

• select an existing photo on your phone, or take a new photo
• select an enhancement option:
  • no enhancement (leave the picture as it is)
  • black and white
  • colour
• email the picture as a PDF file or JPEG file with a small, medium, large or actual file size.
