No time to read? Wrong! We've recently discovered Spritz, a revolutionary tool to help improve your reading skills. Spritz is a software developed for smartphones and watches, on a system of 'text streaming'.
When reading, the eye searches for an 'Optimal Recognition Point' (ORP), and there is a theory that most readers are slowed down in the information intake by the movements of the eye as it scans lines of text. With this in mind Spritz compresses entire novels into a small, 300 pixel wide space and flashes each word for a brief time (depending on your speed setting) and highlights the ORP for each word red. It also aligns all of its words around the ORP letter, so it's in the same place each time, and your eyes do no jumping around.
So how can you try it? Spritz is available as an app for all major brands including iOS, Android and Windows. It's also available as a 'bookmarklet', a piece of software you use can in conjunction with your browser to interact with webpages. You can download and use the 'Spritzlet' for any page on the internet and scan huge articles in a fraction of the time it normally takes you.
